Hey! I have a question I couldn’t figure out Why the second pedigree chart is X-linked recessive and not X-linked dominant?

It could be, if it’s recessive, the mother is a carrier

So, in this case mother is a homozygous recessive individual isn’t she
?

Hi, in both exercises 1 and 2, couldn’t the trait be autosomal recessive, autosomal dominant and x linked dominant as well? I understand the correct answer stated, but I found those others possibilities that make sense too, by drawing the genotypes.

Nevermind, I’ve got my answer
