The question mentions that the bar is repelled by the magnet for being able to repel it itself must be magnetised so, we can get rid of those options which mentions unmagnetised substances.
Thus, we are left with C,D and E.
C and E is mentioning about electrostatic charging which is something related to static current thus they do not make sense.
The best one we are left with is a bar of magnetised steel.
