Amino acids question

hi

why is methionine non polar while cysteine is polar?
S has about the same electronegativity and C
and C has about the same electronegativity as H

Methionine residual group = CH2CH2SCH3
Cysteine residual group = CH2SH

thank you for your answer, but i am still confused, if CH2SCH3 is analogous to an ether, and ether is still polar (bent structure and not linear because of single bonds), what makes the S non polar?
