Biology, citric acid cycle

Hello there! I’m having some thoughts with this section. In step 3 and 4 of citric acid cycle, one NADH + H* are formed from NAD* . Then, shouldn’t 2 hydrogen atoms each be losed in both step 3 and 4? I’m seeing only one hydrogen atom lost in both step.

Enlighten me if I’m missing something.

@AriHoresh Should we learn all stages of Kreb’s cycle by heart, or is it fine to understand the process and move on?

They never asked about the steps, but let’s wait for the official syllabus, maybe there will be some change
