Can anyone explain what exactly is II? I thought it would be the A band and since the A bands remains the same length during muscle contraction I went with option B but I was wrong. What exactly is II? I can’t t understand the picture.

the A band is = overlap of actin and myosin + the H zone
option II) is only the overlap of the actin and myosin so it is the dark zone
berfore contraction it is light - dark - light - dark - light
after contraction it is light - dark - light with dark taking up a larger portion of the sarcomere
