Can somebody explain this for me?

The breakage of these bonds during fatty acid metabolism and the Krebs or glucose, for example, in Glycolysis and then the Krebs yields more energy because for each molecule you have more stored energy as the molecules contain more molecules to break. As we know from thermodynamics, molecules’ breakage releases energy, and the connection of molecules requires energy. This is why we break down molecules in Glycolysis and the Krebs cycle.

In short, lipids are bigger and contain more C-H bonds which allow more parts of the molecules to be the target of catabolic enzymes.
