coiled coil is a structure of protein where 2 or more alpha helix bind to each other. is this structure considered associated with the secondary or the quaternary structure?

if the coils all come from the same peptide chain then it is a tertiary structure (=single polypeptide chain “backbone” made up of one or more protein secondary structures)
if the coils come from different peptide chains then it is quaternary
