Cross between heterozygous individuals

answer is C can someone simply explain how to calculate?

Hi
Since they are not linked gene, we can then calculate,
probability of recombinant = 1 - P(parents: AaBb) = 1 - (P(Aa) * P(Bb)) = 1 - ( 1/2 * 1/2) = 1- 1/4 = 3/4 = 75%

so we do 1-0.25 because the 25 percent is the probability of the original alleles right?
