Do we need to know the difference between galvanic and electrolytic cells?

I’m having a bit of a hard time studying electrolysis because some of the materials mention electron flow from the cathode to the anode and some from the anode to the cathode ,
what do we need to know for the imat in regards to electrolysis ?

hey, yes we should know the difference, in BMAT papers especially we need to know if the anode and cathode are positive or negative, which changes depending on the type of cell

But in general remembering tat the cathode is the site of reduction regardless of the cell type is enough to solve questions

sounds good i will try to focus on that
