How can I solve this? Menstral cycle from Q23 IMAT2015

The answer is C.
However, the textbook and resources I used say that the concentration of estrogen and LH are highest during ovulation, FSH is highest in the follicular phase, and progesterone is highest in the luteal phase.
The statement written in the question seems irrelevant to what I’ve learned so it’s very confusing…
Is anybody willing to explain? it? ( I’ve been stuck on this…)

Hey!

LH and FSH peak a little before the day of ovulation, because the mature Graafian follicle releases the secondary oocyte after the hormone has actually caused its effect (needs a little time for that).

Estrogen peaks before ovulation and causes a positive feedback on hypothalamus to produce more GnRH and stimulate more production of LH and FSH from the anterior pituitary. Then, estrogen’s concentration decreases at the time of ovulation.

Hope it helps:)

Thank you so much!!
I’ve been stuck on this question for a while cuz some graphs and resources say that the concentration of estrogen and LH are highest during ovulation…(like when you search for it on google it will come out)
Now I could correct my misunderstanding thanks to you:)
