IB biology question

Hi, I think the answer is D but the true answer is C. Why is I wrong? I think dense arterial network is also true. Please help me, thank you!!!

hello!
dense arterial network helps the blood exchange and blood supply to muscles, brain, skin, digestive organs etc.
but it is not directly associated with the alveoli in the lungs. but plays an important role supporting the general system.

hi, thank for replying me. I have a question: so if dense capillary network, it will be true, right?

yes! i think capillaries play a bigger role in gas exchange in contact with alveoli. arteries play a big role as well but not in contact

Hi, does the moist lining refer to mucus? Iā€™m wondering if mucus exists in alveoli.

normally no, alveoli does not contain mucous. i believe the moist lining here is the moist created by the oxygen. which is a must for a normal lung to work i guess

here what chat gpt gave as an answer, makes sense!!
