Imat 17 question 47 chem

guys here the answer key is C, but when i answered it i got B becasue the formuli of the molecules in the Q and of B is C6H12 and they are sttructural isomers i dont see where the wrong is?

and even for C the structural formula is C6H10???

any help would be very much appreciated

Hi!
Methylcyclopentane is a pentane with a methyl group attached, consisting of 6 carbon atoms and 12 hydrogen atoms. The only other molecule with the molecular formula C6H12 is hex-2-ene, so this must be the isomer as isomers have the same quantity of elements.
The molecule in option B is cyclohexene which means it has a double bond and it’s molecular formula is C6H10.
Hope it helps:)
