Alex’s bedroom is rectangular. If you stand at the doorway looking into the room, there is a square wardrobe on your right hand side in the corner. The bed is on the same side of the room as the wardrobe and is over half the length of the room. There is a desk along the other wall.
Which one of these aerial views is the view of Alex’s bedroom?

Solve.
This problem can be solved by elimination by following the criteria given in the question. We will break down each criterion and which answers are eliminated as a result of missing them.
1) Square wardrobe in right-hand corner from view standing in the doorway
This applies only to A and E, the rest have them on the left side. Right away we eliminated more than half the answers with only one piece of information. Note that the wardrobe is the only square and this is how we identify it.
2) The bed is on the same side of the room as the wardrobe and is over half the length of the room.
The fact that the wardrobe is over half the length of the room allows us to identify it (the biggest rectangle in the room, so the other is the desk). The bed is only on the same side as the wardrobe in A, not E. So only A remains and we have eliminated all other options based on only 2 pieces of information.
3) The desk is along the other wall (to the bed and wardrobe)
This is just to show you that A follows this criterion as well, we have already eliminated all other options.
