I’ve started studying for the Imat 2023 and have looked at Ari’s study planner which I find very helpful, I was just wondering how much study anyone recommends doing weekly. I’m using the planner and 2023 Imat course to help me with content for learning topics/which order to do them in, but when adding in spaced repetition etc how many hours should I be doing weekly? I’ve already done my leaving cert (Ireland’s final school exams) so I have a good understanding of most of the content already, I just don’t want to do too little work.
The amount of study time that is recommended per week depends on your individual learning style and schedule (as well as your background knowledge). However, a general guideline is to aim for at least 8-10 hours of study per week at this point (9 months before the exam), with additional time spent on spaced repetition and review. It’s also important to make sure you’re focusing on the topics that will be most beneficial for the IMAT exam, and to make sure you’re getting enough rest and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to support your studies.
On average, my past students spent 2h a day in total at this point, the 3 months before the exam they increased it to about 6-8h.
