Hi!
we have been given the value of capacitance and the voltage which are 50F and 4kV or 4* 10^3V they are asking us to calculate the value of energy associated.
E=1/2 x c x V^2
E= 1/2 x 50 x (4 x 10^3)^2
E= 400 x 10^6J or we can write it as 400MJ .
I’m not getting the right answer and i guess this is the right approach for this question.
Are you getting the same answer?

yep shouldn’t it be 4V because otherwise it can’t be 400J. This is the only approach. U=1/2 CV^2
