Why it isn’t 8/1 instead? Because parts are eight but the circle in total is one
Maybe it’s easier to think it like a Margherita pizza.
If there’s one pizza and there are 8 people who wants equal amounts of pizza,
everyone gets to eat 8 pieces (As you mentioned!).
But if you think of the size of each portion, each piece will be 1/8 (one over eight) size compared to the entire pizza.
