In my point of view, as we know the glycolysis process doesn’t take place inside the mitochondria. It takes place inside the cytosol of the cell. As the mitochondria is isolated from the cell, the glycosis process wouldn’t happen from the very beginning step , which is the phosphorylation of glucose.
