Hi, i calculated as
impulse = delta momentum = momentum final - momentum initial,
therefore 0.437kg * (16-4.4) and got 5.07Ns(3 sf)
but the correct answer is 8.91Ns.
Can someone explain why?
Im not sure why, could do with some clarification but someone the other day worked out that they want you to add the momentum in these questions (there was a similar question with different numbers) to work out the impulse.
