Coins have two sides, heads and tails, thus the probability of each is 1/2 (in unbiased coins = we do not artificially affect the probabilities).

A 6-sided dice has the probability 1/6 to land on any one of the numbers 1 to 6 (in unbiased dice). To get a number less than 5 on the dice, its either 1, 2, 3 or 4, so the probability of getting any of them is 1/6 + 1/6 + 1/6 + 1/6 = 4/6.

Therefore overall 2 heads and a number less than 5 is:

1/2 * 1/2 * 4/6 = 4/24 = 1/6
