Can someone please explain why the answer is B?

The probability of getting a heads in each throw is 1/2
since there are two coins this gives; (1/2) * (1/2)= 1/4
Probability of getting a number less than 5 is 4/6 = 2/3
Probability of getting 2 heads and a number less than five= (1/4) * (2/3) = 2/12=1/6

Thank you! I just realized I was adding 1/4 to 2/3 instead of multiplying🤦🏽♀️.

It’s alright. They’re asking an ‘AND’ question. If it was ‘OR’ you could add it up.
