Question about neurons



I think the scentence " neurons are not physically bind to each other" is wrong. Am i right?

They are not touching each other, but they have a small gap between each other and they communicate via a synapse.
Of course, there are some exceptions but it’s at a level too advanced for the IMAT material and there is no need to know it.

But why they are not touching each other? Because they are actually physically connected to each other in synapse, I mean the presynaptic cell knobs and the postcynaptic soma are physically connected…

They are not physically connected to each other, but physiologically connected, I think you are mixing the terms.
