Thermal energy in a circuit

Two resistors of resistance 100 ohms and 200 ohms are connected in parallel in an electrical circuit. The ratio of the thermal energy developed in the 100 ohm to that in the 200 ohm in a given time is:
A) 1:2
B) 2:1

Hi everyone,

The answer is B) but i keep finding A), what did I do wrong?
P=E/t so E=I²Rt
circuit in parallel so if we have a current of 2 amperes each branch receives 1 ampere
for 100 ohm resistance : E=1² * 100 * t = 100t
for 200 ohm resistance : E = 1² * 200 * t = 200t
ratio in the 100 ohm : in the 200 ohm = 100t:200t = 1:2 which is incorrect…

Thanks for your help!

Hope this help!!
