THS hormone question


can someone explain why this is A instead of C?

Not sure where this question is from but I think it should be TSH, which is thyroid stimulating hormone. This tells us where it acts; thyroid. Now all you have to do is memorize that it is produced by the anterior pituitary (and the pituitary is also known as the hypophysis).

The hypothalamus produces hormones that are released from the posterior pituitary, but the anterior pituitary is capable of producing its own hormones (endocrine tissue).
